Könner & Söhnen
Power generators
In the Diesel Dijelovi webshop we sell portable Könner & Söhnen power generators: inverter, petrol, diesel, LPG and dual fuel, three-phase, and DC generators for charging batteries. We help you choose a model according to the appliances you want to power, and we also offer spare parts and service.
Types of generators we offer
Inverter generators
They deliver a stable, clean sine wave voltage, so they are suitable for computers, televisions, boilers with electronics and other sensitive electronics. They are quieter and lighter than conventional generators, and many models have an Eco mode and the option of connecting two generators in parallel. A good choice for camping, boats and field work.
Petrol generators
A practical solution for the home, holiday house, workshop and occasional backup power. There are models with manual and electric start, single-phase and three-phase.
Diesel generators
For longer and more demanding work. Heavy Duty models have a preheater for easier starting, and some models have an ATS connection and a choice of 230 V or 400 V.
LPG and dual fuel generators
They run on gas or petrol, as you choose. On gas they give about 10% less power than on petrol, but gas from a cylinder does not go stale like petrol in a tank.
Three-phase generators
For three-phase 400 V loads, for example workshop machines. Models marked 1/3 give 230 V or 400 V with a selector switch.
DC generators
They produce direct current for charging batteries, for example 24 V or 48 V battery systems.
Generators with ATS
An ATS (automatic transfer switch) starts the generator when the mains power fails and stops it when the mains returns. A model with an ATS output must be connected to the home installation through a transfer switch fitted by a qualified electrician. More in the guide What an ATS is and when you need one.
How to choose a generator
- List the appliances you want to power at the same time and add up their power.
- Add a margin for the starting surge: pumps, refrigerators, compressors and air conditioners need several times more power when starting.
- Choose the phases: single-phase for the home and 230 V tools, three-phase if you have 400 V loads.
- Decide on running time and fuel: petrol for occasional use, diesel for long running, LPG if you want gas.
- Do you need an ATS: if the generator must start by itself.

Frequently asked questions
Which generator do I need for my home?
Add up the power of the appliances you want to run at the same time and allow a margin for the starting surge of pump and refrigerator motors. Choose an inverter model for sensitive electronics and a model with an ATS for automatic start.
May I connect a generator to the home installation?
Only through a transfer switch fitted by a qualified electrician. Without it the generator can feed power back into the grid, which is dangerous.
How much power does a dual fuel generator lose on gas?
According to the manufacturer's specifications, about 10% on LPG compared with petrol.
Do you have spare parts and service for generators?
Yes, we offer spare parts and service for the generators in our range.
