How to find the right spare part
The right spare part is found fastest from the catalogue (OEM) number on the old part, or from the serial number of the machine and engine on the factory plate. Together with the make, model and year of manufacture, that is enough for us to verify the part before the order, with no guessing and no returns.

What to prepare for your enquiry
| Information | Where to find it | Why it is needed |
|---|---|---|
| Make and model of the machine | On the machine, in the registration or technical documents | The basic framework of the search |
| Year of manufacture | On the machine plate or in the documents | Narrows down the versions of the same model |
| Machine serial number | Factory plate on the frame or the cab | Determines the exact version of the machine |
| Engine make, model and serial number | Plate or number stamped on the engine | The same machine can have different engines |
| Catalogue (OEM) number of the part | Stamped on or on the label of the old part, in the parts catalogue | The most reliable identification of the part |
| Photos | Machine plate, engine plate, the old part from several sides | Confirmation when a number is not legible |
You do not need to have everything. The catalogue number or the engine serial number is often enough, and the rest helps when the information is incomplete.
Why the serial number matters more than the model
During production, manufacturers change parts within the same model: a different fuel pump supplier, a new turbocharger version, different hydraulic connections. Two machines of the same model and year can have a part that looks similar but does not fit.
The serial number tells you from which point in production the machine or engine comes, so the manufacturer's catalogue shows which version of the part applies to that exact unit. The same goes for the engine: the machine model does not always tell you which engine is fitted, but the engine serial number does.
Where the plates are
The position of the plate depends on the manufacturer and model, so here we give only the general places where the search starts.
- Machine: the factory plate is usually on the frame (chassis), next to the cab or on the cab pillar, and on some machines inside the cab. The serial number is often also stamped into the frame.
- Engine: the plate is usually on the engine block or on the valve cover. When the plate is missing, on many engines the number is stamped into the block.
- Part: the catalogue number may be stamped, printed or on a label. Pumps, turbochargers, starter motors and alternators often have their own plate.
If you cannot find the plate, photograph the engine from all sides and send the photos to us, and we will help.
The catalogue number: a word of caution
- The number on the part may be the part manufacturer's number (for example Bosch on a fuel pump) and not the machine manufacturer's number. Send both if you can see them.
- Superseded numbers: a manufacturer sometimes replaces an old catalogue number with a new one. We check this when we receive the enquiry.
- Copy the number exactly, with all the letters and dashes, or photograph it.
- If the part has been replaced before, the machine may have an aftermarket part with a different number. In that case the serial number of the machine or engine is more reliable than the number on the part.
How to take photos
- Clean the plate or part of oil and mud.
- Photograph the plate straight on, without glare, so that all the characters are visible.
- Photograph the old part from several sides, including the connections and threads.
- Place a tape measure next to the part if a dimension is important.
Examples by part group
- Engine parts and overhaul kits: the engine serial number, and for pistons and bearings also whether the engine has been overhauled before (oversize).
- Filters: the number from a filter of any manufacturer, from which we find a matching one.
- Hydraulic pumps and hydraulic motors: the pump plate and the machine serial number.
- Rubber tracks: the size width × pitch × number of links, see the guide How to measure a rubber track.
- Undercarriage: the model and serial number of the machine, the number of chain links, photos of the rollers and the drive sprocket.
How to send your enquiry
Most customers order by phone, on +385 98 894 684, and send photos on WhatsApp or Viber. You can also use the enquiry form, which has fields for all the information in the table. Once we have confirmed the part, we tell you the lead time: many part groups ship from stock or within 1 working day, and hydraulic pumps within 1 to 2 days.
If you are not sure what the fault is, we advise you when buying parts and refer you to experienced service technicians.
Frequently asked questions
What is a catalogue or OEM number?
It is the number under which the manufacturer lists the part in its catalogue. It is most often stamped on or on a label of the old part, and it is the most reliable piece of information for an order.
Where is the engine serial number?
It is usually on the plate on the engine block or on the valve cover, and on many engines it is also stamped into the block. The exact place depends on the manufacturer.
Can I order a part by machine model alone?
Sometimes, but the same model can have several versions of a part. With the serial number or the catalogue number we verify the part before delivery.
What if the part has no number on it?
Send the serial number of the machine and engine, and photos of the part from several sides. In most cases we can identify the part from that.
How long does delivery take once you confirm the part?
Many part groups ship from stock or within 1 working day, and hydraulic pumps within 1 to 2 days. For non-standard parts we give the lead time with the quote.
